This is an urban resort, floating on the River Hooghly only 100 yards from the shore. The River Hooghly is a centre-point of Indian history and the hotel brings back that history in all its splendour, harking back to a time when Calcutta was in her finest glory. The 61-room floating hotel is based on the concept of combining the best qualities of a luxury cruise ship with the beauty of a world-class hotel permanently anchored in the city centre of Kolkata. The grounds consist of a promenade walkway by the river, a beautifully landscaped garden, centrally air-conditioned reception areas with a 24-hour reception desk, open-air banquet halls and a promenade deck. The hotel also provides a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a cloakroom, lift access, a hairdressing salon, a TV lounge, conference facilities, Internet access (fees apply) and a car park. For dining and drinks, guests can enjoy the on-site bar, restaurant and night club. Room and laundry services are on offer as well (fees apply for both).
