The family run Haus Elisabeth, situated 1 km outside the well known ski resort of Obertauern amidst quaint scenery, welcomes you with newly refurbished apartments including a fully equipped kitchen and a private parking.

Experienced skiers can take the slope right down to our house and the next ski lift is reachable on foot within 10 minutes which offers you acces to an impressive number of further slopes and lifts. Children can play safely outside, building igloos and enjoying togogganing.

In summer the region is great for spending truly relaxing holidays in the fresh mountain air, far away from the noise of a city and everday stress, offering endless possibilities for hiking amidst impressive scenery.


"Haus Elisabeth" is a small family business which was run by my parents for more than 25 years, since I, Peter Miehl, took over managment in 2005. In the meanwhile the house has been completely refurbished. In 2006 we extended the apartment in the attic and in 2007 the rooms downstairs were renovated. The house is also an ideal place for groups of 12 to 16 persons.

In the evenings, in front of our fireplace or at the bar in the attic you will experience an atmosphere that we call "Hüttenzauber" and which is one major component of Austrian skiing culture. We would be happy to welcome you as our guests!

The house contains two apartments for 6-8 persons each, consisting of 3 bedrooms, a kitchen and a livingroom.

All apartments are newly refurbished. Wooden interiors and friendly colours provide a cosy atmosphere and quality beds make you sleep well.

The apartments have a fully equipped kitchen. Bread and rolls can be ordered and will be delivered every morning. All kinds of restaurants and bars can be found in Obertauern.
