Casa Andina is an extension of the hotel services of "Hostales Andinas." Casa Andina has an office located in the city of Quito. The project was initiated in 2002 with the objective of promoting and encouraging responsible and united tourism in the Otavalo area (Province of Imbabura). Casa Andina was built with traditional Andean architectural techniques. The clay, the eucalyptus wood, volcanic stones, textiles and other details prepared by the skillful hands of local craftsmen enrich and give form to this captivating place. It is a perfect example of the native culture of the Andes. Every corner reflects Andean historical and cultural legacy. Casa Andina is surrounded by magical, sacred places of great cultural significance that are important to visit, such as the Kuri Kancha, the Andean spirituality and culture square The Imbabura Ñan, Ancestral Andean Way that joins all the indigenous communities placed at the feet of Tayta Imbabura (5370 m.s.n.v) The famous Peguche waterfall, source of vitality and energy. The famous Indigenous community Peguche, center of the handmade craftsmanship production of the city of Otavalo. Casa Andina is more than a hotel, it is a home integrated into the daily life of the indigenous communities of the sector. "Only promoting work and experience jointly will lead us to the development of new ways of achieving and generating an alternative tourism. With an exquisite view of the Andean mountains and of the "Valle del manecer" (Valley of the Dawn), La Casa Andina's eight rooms and two suites have a cozy, airy feel. Each is equipped with a private bath, chimney, and balconies with access to the gardens. All of them are designed harmoniously to be pleasant, warm and restful. Each one is created with special textures, shades and forms. Casa Andina has a dining room area with a big patio, along with a fireplace where you can warm yourself. Our kitchen reflects the ambience of La Casa Andina. ?The approach to nature and to human sensibilities is one of our biggest intentions...? Our events lounge "Whipala" is always ready for special meetings. It has a capacity of 50 people. Our special work team will welcome you and will make you feel like one of the family with first-class treatment and service. A beautiful and scenic waterfall that originates in Imbakocha (Lake San Pablo) crosses the grounds. It passes through the communal and meeting places, as well as special places of intimacy and contemplation. All these areas will seduce you at dusk, especially when, magically, a flock of herons appears and crosses the sky.
