Location-Hidden in the vast desert and majestic mountains of the Sinai lies the charming resort of Golden Beach Dahab at the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba, 90 km north from the international airport in Sharm El Sheikh and 150 km from Eilat. Dahab- synonym of Gold in Arabic- is paradise to surf and scuba dive and starting point for unforgettable safaris into the timeless settings of the Sinai Peninsula.The hotel is located on a 200 m long and 40 m wide stretch of fine sandy beach with breathtaking view over the bay and Sinai mountains and direct access to the open sea.Masbat and Assalah- the busy part of Dahab- with many shops/ Bedouin restaurants/ and Coffee-shops are only 3 km away and can be reached by taxi or through a walk along the beach.Accommodation-The Swiss Inn Golden Beach Resort is a 4 star hotel with 147 well appointed guestrooms decorated in bright and inviting colors. 76 Rooms to the seaside/ 71 Rooms to the garden side. All rooms have private balconies or terrace/ air-condition/ heating with individual control/ bathroom with bathtub and integrated shower/ hairdryer/ satellite TV with international channels/ international direct dial telephone and mini bar. 12 larger rooms which are ideal for families with smaller children. 38 rooms have connecting doors and are ideal for families. Two Suites- one with sea view/ one with garden view is also available. Two double rooms -garden view- with connecting doors to double rooms are suitable for handicapped persons on wheelchairs. Diving/ Windsurfing-Our diving center is managed by German personnel and our surf station with catamaran sailing is managed by an international team. Both are offering the same warm welcome to all nationalities. There you can take diving and windsurfing courses and rent any equipment you may need for diving/ snorkeling/ or windsurfing.Sports and Leisure-free of charge-Large heated outdoor freshwater swimming pool with integrated childrens pool suitable for children of 6 years and above. Beach towel service/ beach beds/ and sunshades at the swimming pool and beach. Boccia/ Darts/ Baby Football. Mountain Bikes and Billiard with a charge.Excursions / Places of interest-Desert safaris and excursions to St. Catherine Monastery and Mount Sinai/ Colored Canyon and Petra in Jordan/ as well as diving and snorkeling trips to the protected Ras Mohammed National Park and to the wild dolphins in Nuweiba are some of the excursions that can be arranged through the Travel Office inside the hotel.Children activities-The Garfield Club invites children from 2 to 6 years of age.
