Built in the 19th century, the hotel comprises a total of 36 attractive rooms, of which 30 are in the modern extension. The Wallace family, who own the hotel and run it themselves, are on hand to greet guests. Facilities on offer include a lobby area with a reception desk manned around the clock, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, and lift access. The spacious rooms are decorated with rich colours and textures, and are equipped with a wide range of quality features for guests' comfort. Standard fittings include an en suite bathroom with shower or bathtub, satellite/ cable TV, a direct dial telephone, a trouser press, an iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer. Business guests may take advantage of the wide dresser which doubles as a writing desk. In addition, two of the rooms feature disability-friendly facilities. Other rooms have connecting doors which can be opened up, a feature popular with families.
